I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
